Using post it notes, we created a matrix to compare the different places we saw. This right here is decision making at it's best! |
Today Derek and I went shopping at the premium mall, he bought me my first pair of designer jeans as a "house-warming"/welcome-to-Chicago present. I heart that handsome friend of mine! We got there using the zipcar that is IN MY BUILDING! That's right, I have 2 zipcars parked in the garage of my apartment building that I can reserve for anytime I need it. It is like owning my own car without actually owning one. We also tried the famous Chicago deep-dish pizza at Giordano's today. It was excellent. I'm so stuffed! Tomorrow we will do move-in and furniture shopping. My next big decision will be cell phones!
Yaey congratulations on your new home!! Looking forward to seeing photos of your new place :D
ReplyDeleteAnd Derek, you are really an awesome friend, but I'm sure you knew that already ;:\

I demand photos! I'm so afraid mom won't pay for it so I can come in person to see. Your life sounds so swanky now (designer jeans? i think that makes derek your sugar daddy). nice job on the zipcars, that's a plus.
ReplyDeletemake a decision on your cell phone, missy. and start decorating... i'm excited to see what your brain comes up with.
and $80 for a month's rent, even if it is a one time deal, is sick!!
Yaey that's super exciting!!!! :)

Mmmm... pizza....
ReplyDeleteBut congratulations! Ontarie Place sounds great (but difficult to type... looks wrong, must be Ontario, says the voice in my brain). Handy about the zipcars.
Best! jen
I didn't get a chance to take photos of my empty apartment, but I DID start furnishing it. I will post photos once it is furnished.
ReplyDeleteOnterie Place DOES look like "Ontario", but it's pronounced ON-ter-ie... I was confused at first, too!
Oh god. Please, Tiffany, never call me Vivian's sugar daddy ever again.
